October is Blindness Awareness Month.
An estimated 2.2 billion people around the world are blind or experience vision impairment. That's a lot of people!

Blind Awareness Month is an opportunity to educate, advocate and inspire everyone to learn more about blindness and vision impairment.
Blind people are ordinary people, and there’s no need to be nervous around folks who are blind.
Blind people are also highly capable people, so please it’s not OK to grab their arms, canes, or guide dogs if they haven't asked you to do so.
