Give Input About Transit

King County Metro Transit wants to invite you to be a part of a new research panel that will shape Metro services and programs. If selected to participate, you’ll get paid to share your thoughts and help shape the future of transportation in King County.

To see if you are eligible to be on the panel, take this 5-7 minute survey.

What is a research panel?
A research panel is a diverse group of people who have agreed to be considered for participation in specific research studies. Each panelist receives an annual payment for their membership on the panel. Panelists may be contacted to participate in different research studies and can earn more payments for each study they take part in.

What’s the benefit in joining the panel?

  • $200 payment each year you are on the panel

  • Opportunities to earn extra payments by participating in research studies

  • Contributing your voice and perspective to the future of transportation in King County

What will happen if I join the panel?

  • Information about you will be stored in a secure online location.

  • Personal information (name and contact information) will not be shared outside of the Metro research team.

  • You may receive invitations throughout the year to participate in Metro research studies, but you won’t be asked to participate more than four times per year.

  • You’ll receive updates from Metro about research findings and service updates or changes.

What are the research studies like?

  • Research studies can be either in-person or remote.

  • Research can focus on a wide variety of subjects, such as bus routes, Metro communications, or new services.

  • Participation in a study will typically take about 1 hour.

  • Metro will pay for any parking/transportation costs for panelists who come to in-person studies.

King County Metro offers reasonable accommodations for anyone who wants to participate in the panel.
