We provide a wide variety of services to help you with housing referrals, utility assistance, job searching, transportation, healthcare and much more. Our programs are designed to be individually tailored to your needs and goals. And always empowering—all decisions will be made by you.
Teens & Young Adults
Our youth programs provide a chance for you to explore and plan for life as an adult in a fun, empowering setting. You’ll have the chance to meet other teens and young adults while learning new skills and finding community resources to help you live a successful life.
Parents
Whether you have a child with a disability or have a disability yourself, we are here for you. We provide a safe place to find resources and connect with other parents. We offer peer support groups, classes and referrals to community services.
Seniors
We have programs and services available designed especially for people ages 50+. We also partner with senior centers and senior housing facilities to support independent living and aging in place.
Referring Organizations
If you have clients or program participants with disabilities, we invite you to connect them with us. Disability Empowerment Center is a hub for critical services in a supportive, peer-led setting. Our services are free and available to people of all ages residing in King County.
Businesses
Accessibility is good for your business. We provide fee-for-service consulting to make your workplace more accessible. We do onsite accessibility evaluations, check for ADA compliance, develop inclusive emergency procedures, conduct website accessibility audits and perform other services that benefit your business and your community.

When you contact us, one of our friendly staff members will ask about your goals and interests. You will decide if you want to sign up for any of our programs or services.
No decisions will be made for you at Disability Empowerment Center. We are about empowering you to make your own choices. Our staff are here to help meet your individualized needs and goals.
